Venise - Italy

Venice, a unique lagoon city, is also one of the destinations most affected by overtourism, which makes the moments stolen at dawn all the more precious. I wake before daybreak to photograph St. Mark's Square and the silent canals, when morning mist still envelops the lagoon and the first gondoliers are the only witnesses to this fleeting calm.
This approach lets me avoid the dense crowds that fill the city's iconic viewpoints as soon as the first cruise ships arrive, and capture a more intimate, almost timeless Venice. Beyond the canals and palaces, I focus on revealing centuries-old Venetian craftsmanship, the Murano glassblower or the mask maker, witnesses to a know-how that resists mass tourism.
As a photographer committed to more responsible tourism, I want to show an authentic and fragile Venice, far from the saturated clichés we all know. Discover my photo series on La Serenissima below.
