Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka, the pearl of the Indian Ocean, combines lush tea plantations, ancient Buddhist temples and unspoiled beaches in a single journey. To photograph this country in its full authenticity, I wake before dawn to capture the morning mist rolling over the tea hills or the stilt fishermen in their traditional poses — iconic silhouettes that vanish once the sun rises and visitors arrive.

This pursuit of soft light and quiet moments also lets me absorb the rhythm of Sri Lankan life: tea pickers at work, Buddhist monks in procession, villagers encountered along country roads. My photographic report aims to go beyond the classic tourist image of the country to reveal its cultural and spiritual richness, as well as the warmth of its people.

As a photographer specializing in responsible tourism, I take care to represent Sri Lanka honestly, respecting its traditions and exceptional natural environment. Discover the images from my journey across the island below.
