From Vancouver to Calgary
The Canadian Rockies, stretching from Vancouver to Calgary, offer a magnificent photographic playground between turquoise lakes, snow-capped peaks and dense forests. I always wake before sunrise to photograph these landscapes: the golden light reflecting off Peyto Lake or igniting the surrounding peaks exists only in this fleeting window, before the mist lifts and the first visitors arrive at the iconic viewpoints.
This discipline also lets me observe local wildlife in its most natural behavior, such as the spectacular salmon run, a spectacle best seen during the quietest hours of the day. Beyond the spectacular scenery, I make a point of capturing the atmosphere of small mountain towns and the typical way of life in Western Canada, between Vancouver and the foothills of the Rockies.
As a travel photographer, my goal is to convey the wild, preserved character of this region, with respect for its exceptional environment. Discover my photographic report from across the Canadian Rockies below.
