Porto - Portugal

Porto, a port city of colorful houses perched above the Douro River, captivates with its authenticity and a pace of life still largely untouched by mass tourism. I always favor the first light of day to photograph the Ribeira district and the Dom Luís Bridge: morning light brings out the full color palette of the facades while giving me the calm I need before visitor groups arrive.
This approach also lets me discover the real Porto — fishermen on the quays, traditional cafés opening their shutters, steep streets still asleep. My photographic report aims to highlight the city's unique architectural heritage, its centuries-old azulejos and its connection to port wine, far from the usual tourist clichés.
As a responsible tourism photographer, I strive to capture this destination with sincerity and respect for its people and cultural heritage. Discover my photographs from northern Portugal's capital below.
