Bali - Indonesia
Bali, the Indonesian island of a thousand temples, offers one of the richest settings for responsible travel photography. Between terraced rice fields, sacred volcanoes and black sand beaches, every sunrise reveals a different light — which is exactly why I wake before dawn: to capture Mount Batur or the Tegallalang rice terraces in golden clarity, far from the tourist crowds that gather by mid-morning.
This choice also lets me cross paths with Balinese people in their most authentic daily life, during religious ceremonies or on the way to the rice fields, before groups overrun the island's iconic sites. My photographic work highlights this unique Hindu-Balinese culture, its ancestral traditions and craftsmanship, away from postcard clichés.
As a photographer specializing in responsible tourism, my aim is to convey Bali's soul through honest images that respect both its people and its environment. Browse a selection of my photographs from the island of the gods below.
